I LOVE the low power (usually 150 or 200 watts or less ) division in contests. Maybe it's a tad sadistic to be on the bands with the legal limit folks, but it works. Recently took down the 40M dipole at 65' and put up a 43' wire vertical with 4 35' radials for a ground plane. At this location, it out performs the old dipole on DX as well as stateside. I can work both coasts on 40M during the day and am working EU low power at grayline.

I am taking your advice and will put a full effort on the upcoming Arkansas QSO Party. In the next few weeks, I'll put up an 80M dipole for NVIS so I will have a strong "cloud burner" signal local and statewide. Between the vertical and the low dipole, I should have a good shot!
