I see forum after forum on the internet of folks who feel it's their duty to get on and bash CW with both fists. Thank goodness that is not happening on this forum!
Ya know...no one has a gun to anyone's head forcing them to use CW.
People use CW because they want to.
If you look at the results of CW contests, the number of participants isn't falling. If you listen to the CW portions of the HF bands, there are plenty of stations on CW.
If I had my choice of modes of AM, FM, SSB, and CW...when the noise is high, there is QRM 20+ 4 kHz away, and the band is going south, I'll pick CW anyday.
CW is the only mode that gets through the mess.
