SRI LANKA, 4S. Alexander, UX4UL is QRV as 4S7ULG until April 15.
Activity is on the HF bands using CW and various digital modes. QSL

SENEGAL, 6W. Marcelo, EA1HFI is QRV as 6W/EA1HFI until March 4. He
is active on the HF bands using SSB and various digital modes. QSL

CROATIA, 9A. Members of the Radio Club 9A4J are QRV using special
event call 9A1700SBD until the end of 2016 to commemorate the 1700th
anniversary of the birthday of St. Blaise, the patron saint of
Dubrovnik. QSL via 9A4J.
SOUTH COOK ISLANDS, E5. Andy, E51AND is QRV as E5SKCC from
Rarotonga Island, IOTA OC-013, during the month of January to
commemorate the founding of the Straight Key Century Club in 2006.

IRELAND, EI. Special event call EI1916E is QRV during all of 2016
to commemorate the hundred years since the Easter Rising which was
part of Ireland's fight for independence. Activity is on the HF
bands using SSB, RTTY and PSK. QSL direct to EI3GC.
KERGUELEN ISLAND, FT/X. Nicholas, FT4XU is QRV until around January
15. He is generally active on 20 meters using SSB and possibly some
digital modes. QSL via F1ULQ.
LIECHTENSTEIN, HB0. Members of Amateur Funk Verein Liechtenstein
are QRV using special event call HB0AFVL during 2016 to celebrate
its 30th anniversary. Activity is on 160 to 10 meters using all

HAITI, HH. Members of the Radio Club D'Haiti are QRV using special
event call 4V1TL until April 30 to commemorate the 213th anniversary
of the death of General Toussaint Louverture, who was known as the
father of the country of Haiti. QSL via W3HNK.
PALMYRA AND JARVIS ISLANDS, KP5. A large group of operators will be
QRV as K5P from Palmyra Atoll, IOTA OC-085, from January 12 to 25.
Activity will be on the HF bands using all modes. QSL via
operators' instructions.
POLAND, SP. Members of the Piastowski Short Wave Radio Club and the
Dobrzen Wielki district are QRV with special event call 3Z6DOBRZEN
until the end of January to celebrate 5 years of short wave radio
activities as part of the Dobrzen Wielki District Cultural Centre.
Activity is on the H/VHF bands using CW, SSB and various digital
modes. QSL via SP6PAZ.
PALAU, T8. Operators JA6EGL, JA6KYU, JA6UBY, JO3LVG, JH7IPR and
JH7MOX are QRV as T88SM, T88HS, T88RR, T88MK, T88UW and T88TK,
respectively, from Koror Island, IOTA OC-009, until January 14.
Activity is holiday style on 160 to 6 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY.

QRV to commemorate the centenary of the first radio contact between
the Ukraine and the USA on January 25, 1926. QSL EM90US via US5EC,

ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA, V2. Brian, GW4DVB is QRV as V25GB from the
Galley Bay Resort until January 14. Activity is on 40 to 6 meters
using SSB. QSL direct to home call.
INDIA, VU. Members of the West Bengal Radio Club will be QRV as
8T5GSM as part of the annual emergency radio exercise named
Gangasagar Mela from Sagar Island, IOTA AS-153, from January 9 to
16. QSL via VU2NRO.
LAOS, XV. Bruce, 3W3B is QRV as XW4XR from Vientiane until mid
January. Activity is on 80 to 10 meters using CW and RTTY. QSL via
E21EIC.
VANUATU, YJ. Daniel, VK4AFU is QRV as YJ0AFU from Port Vila, Efate
Island, IOTA OC-035, until January 10. Activity is on 160 to 6
meters using CW, SSB, RTTY, JT9, JT65 and some WSPR. QSL direct to
NA5U.
CAYMAN ISLANDS, ZF. Peter, K8PGJ will be QRV as ZF2PG from Grand
Cayman, IOTA NA-016, from January 10 to 19. This includes an entry
in the North American QSO Party. QSL direct to home call.
NEW ZEALAND SUB ANTARCTIC ISLANDS, ZL9. A group of operators are
QRV as ZL9A from Antipodes Island, IOTA OC-286, a new IOTA, until
January 11. Activity is on 40 to 10 meters using CW and SSB. QSL
via VE3LYC.
THIS WEEKEND ON THE RADIO. The North American CW QSO Party, NCCC
RTTY Sprint, QRP 80-Meter CW Fox Hunt, NCCC Sprint CW Ladder, Old
New Year Contest, SKCC CW Weekend Sprintathon, UBA BPSK63 Prefix
Contest, NRAU-Baltic Contest and the DARC 10-Meter Contest are all
on tap for this upcoming weekend.
The Phone Fray, CWops Mini-CWT CW Test, AWA Linc Cundall Memorial CW
Contest, QRP CW Fox Hunt and NAQCC CW Sprint are scheduled for
January 13.
The ARRL National Parks on the Air event runs during all of 2016 to
mark the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service.
