This week's bulletin was made possible with information provided by
QRZ DX, OPDX, The Daily DX, DXNL, Contest Corral from QST and the
ARRL Contest Calendar and WA7BNM web sites. Thanks to all.
EQUATORIAL GUINEA, 3C. Ken, LA7GIA plans to be QRV as 3C7GIA from
Bioke Island, IOTA AF-010, from March 2 to 14. Activity will be on
80 to 10 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY. QSL to home call.
MOZAMBIQUE, C9. Arunas, LY2IJ and Arkadij, UA4CC will be QRV as
C91IJ and C92CC, respectively, for one week beginning February 28.
Activity will be on the low bands during their evening hours. QSL
to home calls.
GUINEA, 3X. A group of operators are QRV as 3XY1T until March 4.
Activity is in the HF bands, possibly including 160 meters. QSL via
I2YSB.
TANZANIA, 5H. Shin, JA7SGV is currently QRV as 5H3JA. Activity is
on the HF bands. QSL to home call.
MAURITANIA, 5T. Ahmad, 9K2AI is QRV as 5T2AI for the next two to
three years. Activity is on the HF bands. QSL via NI5DX.
SWAZILAND, 3DA. Arunas, LY2IJ and Arkadij, UA4CC will be QRV as
3DA0IJ and 3DA0CC, respectively, for one week beginning March 6.
Activity will be on the low bands during their evening hours. QSL
to home calls.
ITALY, I. Gianfranco, IT9SPB, Giuseppe, IT9HBT, Paolo, IT9MYB,
Gabry, IT9RGY and Andrei, RA6LBS will be QRV as IH9A from
Pantelleria Island, IOTA AF-018, for the CQ World Wide 160 Meter SSB
contest. QSL via IT9SPB.
SAO TOME AND PRINCIPE, S9. Bruno, HB9BEI plans to be QRV as S9BK
from Sao Tome, IOTA AF-023, until March 7. Activity is holiday
style on 40 to 10 meters using SSB and various digital modes. QSL
to home call.
POLAND, SP. Dionizy, SP6IEQ is QRV with special call sign HF6FIRAC
during 2016. QSL to home call.
EAST KIRIBATI, T32. Operators KG8CO, N6FS, N8LJ, K8MU, K8QKY, K8AQM
and AC8W plan to be QRV as T32CO, T32FS, T32LJ, T32MU, T32SB, T32TR
and T32WW, respectively, from Kiritimati, IOTA OC-024, from March 1
to 16. Activity will be on 160 to 10 meters with four stations
using CW, SSB and various digital modes. This includes entries in
the upcoming ARRL and BERU contests. QSL all calls via AC8JF.
ICELAND, TF. Michael, DF8AN is QRV as TF/DF8AN until March 1.
Activity is on the HF bands and 6 meters using CW and SSB. He also
plans to activate a couple of WWFF references. QSL to home call.
MARSHALL ISLANDS, V7. James, AH6OY plans to be QRV as AH6OY/V7 from
Majuro, IOTA OC-029, from March 1 to 7. He is hoping to use the
call V73I. QSL to home call.
ALBANIA, ZA. IW2JOP is QRV as ZA/IW2JOP from Saranda and is
generally active on 80 to 2 meters using SSB and various digital
modes. QSL direct to IW2HAJ.
THIS WEEKEND ON THE RADIO. The CQ 160-Meter SSB Contest, North
American RTTY QSO Party, NCCC RTTY Sprint, QRP CW Fox Hunt, NCCC
Sprint CW Ladder, REF SSB Contest, UBA DX CW Contest, South Carolina
QSO Party, High Speed Club CW Contest, SARL Digital Contest and the
North Carolina QSO Party will certainly keep contesters busy this
upcoming weekend.
The AGCW YL-CW Party is scheduled for March 1. The UKEICC 80-Meter
SSB Contest, CWops Mini-CWT CW Test, Phone Fray and QRP CW Fox Hunt
are scheduled for March 2.
The ARRL National Parks on the Air event runs during all of 2016 to
mark the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service.
